SOME HANKSGIVING FACTOIDS:

• A male turkey is a Tom.

• Most domestic turkeys have difficulty flying. Hanks starred in Apollo 13, about a spaceship that had trouble flying.

• There is a Pilgrim Museum in Concord, MA. Tom Hanks was born in Concord, CA.

• Ben Franklin wanted the turkey as our national bird because it was honest and respectable. Forbes magazine ranked Tom Hanks as the most trusted celebrity.

• In Grenada, Thanksgiving Day celebrates the 1983 US-led invasion of the island. Tom Hanks starred in Saving Private Ryan, about a US-led invasion in which he is seen throwing a grenade. Uh.

• You can’t spell Thanksgiving without T.Hanks!

    At the beginning of the movie ‘Castaway’, Tom Hanks was fat, like a fat turkey.

      Turkey contains tryptophan, a compound that makes you sleepy. Tom Hanks starred in Bonfire of the Vanities, which also made people sleepy.

        Tom Hanks is a HUGE Cleveland Indians fan. Indians LOVE Turkey. It’s their favorite food, especially when shared with Pilgrims on Thanksgiving.

          Yes, Indians loved turkey. They enjoyed sharing the meatiest portion of turkeys, the breast, with their closest friends. You could say they were Bosom Buddies.

    The world’s largest pumpkin pie measured 20 feet in diameter, which sounds like it has nothing in common with Tom Hanks. But Tom Hanks starred in a movie called Nothing in Common with Jackie Gleason, who was nearly 20 feet in diameter.
