The mighty Kamehameha Lions Club puts on a hell of a comedy show every year in Honolulu. This year is the show’s 10th anniversary, and is its biggest yet!

I am honored to have been a part of this show for several years, and especially honored to be asked back for this year’s iteration. As always, there will be a giant pre-show silent auction stocked full of celebrity items, vacations and other valuable swag. Plus, unlimited beer, wine, beverages and appetizers. (Or gourmet food and champagne, if you’re willing to shell out for the VIP package.) And the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld returns this year to give you a stomachful of soup and a earful of insults.

But the show? Oh, let me tell you about the show. Headlining is the amazing Steve Byrne, star of his own TBS sitcom, “Sullivan and Son.” Steve has a bunch of his own Comedy Central specials and is pretty much at the top of the game. Plus, Dat Phan (Last Comic Standing), Geechy Guy (America’s Got Talent), Tony Calabrese, Kurt Swan and local girl Michelle Welch. Also, I’ll be there, too.

Really, you have no reason to not go. Tickets are fully tax deductible, as the Kamehameha Lions Club Foundation is a licensed 501(c)3 charitable organization. So if you think about it, the show is pretty much free, right? I don’t know, consult your tax professional. But it makes sense to me.

Just know this. Your donations, ticket purchases and winning auction bids will completely fund projects and scholarships right in Hawaii. That’s right: all the money stays locally and benefits the people in your neighborhoods.

Do it, and I promise you will have a great time!!
