Sure, comedy sounds like a dangerous thing. Comedians kill. Or they die. They will crush going up last. Or they will take the bullet going first. But those are all just metaphors for what goes on: Comedy. Making you laugh out loud.

I just got done with a tour of doing shows across mainland China. On the final night, in Beijing, the People’s Liberation Army was holding practice for what was basically a “We Hate The Japanese” parade right where I was doing my show. Fabulous. Add to that the curiously sad fact that on the same street some time earlier a Chinese man killed a married couple with a samurai sword because he thought the victim was an American man. What the fuck? Never mind that I’m doing shows just yards away from somewhere that they hate Japanese AND Americans, how about using weapons from your own country. Maybe one of those bad ass wing chun butterfly swords.

So it brings me great relief and pleasure to be returning to a safe place, my island home, to be making LOL, not WTF.

Now, I’m not saying there’s any urgency to buy tickets to come have a good time. But if you don’t get your ass to the shows, sooner or later I won’t be able to come back to bring you glad tidings and my favorite fart jokes. SO ACT NOW! Supplies are limited, operators are standing by.

Hawaii peeps, remember how you had all these great places like Beard Papa’s with their amazing creampuffs, or KC Drive Inn and the iconic Waffle Dogs and Ono Ono Shakes, or pretty much anything at Aloha Tower Marketplace? Then they all went away, and you were like, “OMG I can’t believe they closed… I loved them.” Yeah, well you may have loved them, but you didn’t buy tickets to their shows this week in Hawaii so they had to close down. It’s on you.
