Five years ago, I was honored to headline the very first Hong Kong International Comedy Festival. Getting asked back for the sixth and largest iteration of the festival is simply amazing.

When I first did the HK festival, it was a week-long affair. It has now grown into four weeks of fun and madness involving stand-up, improv and the world-famous comedy competition in both English and Chinese language categories. At stake for the English finals is $35,000 in cash for first place! (It’s 35 grand in Hong Kong cash, which is still a big prize in good old American money!) All told, $60,000 in cash for the winners, plus gigs at some of America’s top comedy clubs: Gotham Comedy Club, Comic Strip Live and Acme Comedy Co.
